When I was 18 I could barely walk upright.

Amazing achievement.

No surprise! Sim hours also do count - but only with A2A planes ;-)

Congratulations!

Well done Captain Jake. That's an achievement at any age, but more so at only 18. What's next??

Clear skies,
Mike

Is it true you only need a driving license to get a Sports Flying licence ?

So in the U.S, that's 15 ?

Over here in the Land of Brexit, it's 17, so guessing you couldn't do a PPL until then.

With Instrument rating and then instructor..... must have been at it, pretty hard.

I could only have a Sports licence as I'm as mad as Denny Crane, but then again, I'm scared of flying anyway !!!

That is so impressive and shows how much determination you have to accomplish this at your young age. This is really hard work!

Congratulations Jake!

Best of luck with your next steps!

You still have to be 17 to get the sport pilot, and have satisfied the requirements of 61.301-327 which is 20 hours of training.
