I'm bored.

This is the place where we can all meet and speak about whatever is on the mind.

I'm bored.

Post by bladerunner900 »

I need to buy a new A2A aircraft. Ideally, something with an engine that delivers at least 1,440 hp and has clipped wings.

How about folding wings and at least 2000 hp?

Yes, top of my radial list! The most beautiful bird that ever took to the skies. Just not that god-awful trainer version. But I'd settle for a Bearcat, Hellcat, Corsair...

Best I can hope for is a FULL upgrade of the P-47 to match the other three P3D fighters. I guess they probably have the flight model for the Spit IX from the Boultbee simulator, but already having the I/II, I wouldn't be interested in another Spit (unless Griffon-powered), or another non-radial for that matter. Other than those, I'm not optimistic that they'll develop another new warbird. Do the warbird sales match the GA offerings?

I think you are right. Except for upgrading the old warbirds I don't think we'll see another new one in my life time. For a start, where would they get the data from? They said before, somewhere, that GA is far more lucrative than the warbird line and tube liners are more so again. Sad. Really sad.

Hi.
The only people who can do justice to WW2 warbirds in my oppinion is A2A or DCS , downside to the later , is limited aeras for flying , as opposed to FSX/P3D that covers the whole globe , and the real warbirds will end up in musiums only , A2A please please do more WW2 warbirds to keep these aircraft alive in peoples memorys.
My favourite aircraft not yet done , that i would like to see is:-
1/. B25 doolittle variant
2/. B24 liberater
3/. avro lanc dambuster variant (sorry Lewis for mentioning this aircraft)
4/. mosquito
5/. bristol beaufighter
6/. PBY catalina , i know aerosoft do a good one but imagine an A2A accu simed one
regards alan. 8)

Either Lewis or Scott earlier this year did say another warbird was somewhere down the pipeline, but that may have been referring to the T-38 or T-6II we now know about.

I fully understand them developing for the market where the money is at, but I sure hope A2A isn't done building warbirds. I'd absolutely LOVE any piston fighter or bomber, B-29, 25 and 24 being at the top of the bomber list, P-38 would probably be at the top of my fighter wish list but ANYTHING would be great!

I'd stand in line overnight to buy an A2A early B-25! Maybe what's taking A2A so long to introduce this aircraft is that they are also developing an Accu-sim USS Hornet?

I wouldn't care if the B-25 is an early or late model, it's always been on my wish list, and the only twin I'd ever want.

Not interested by a bomber of any kind but I would cheerfully welcome a Bell P39 Airacobra, an unorthodox aircraft !
