Arsenal of Democracy 2020 Mega Clip
Re: Arsenal of Democracy 2020 Mega Clip
That was excellent! One of my bucket list items I would love to pull off is to get my father up in either Fifi or Doc before he passes away.
He was the last FE for the B-29 Look Homeward Angel at the end of WWII. Seeing the two of them together in that video is too cool.

It was a real bummer that we couldn't fly on Friday or Saturday. I just got home with Fifi literally like an hour ago but we still feel very accomplished. We got almost 70 WWII airplanes from around the country to the same city to honor the 75th anniversary and those who made it happen. The spirit was there even though the flying was not, and we all had a great time hanging out with a lot of the US warbird community A-Team.
The amount of effort and organization that goes on to put this event together makes the average airshow look like a neighborhood garage sale. We had an incredible list of waivers that allowed civilian pilots, to fly 75 year old experimental/limited category aircraft, in formation, with passengers, over a congested area, below 1000 feet - in the most closely guarded and restricted airspace in the world. Simply mind blowing the opportunity that we were presented with.

What a truly EPIC video and event! Thank you for posting this Buffy, so very cool. And yes, I had goosebumps, but then I get goosebumps whenever it comes to WWII Vets. I get downright teary eyed when I meet WWII 101st Screaming Eagle Vets, as I served for 28 years and almost 20 of those years were with the 101st, in modern times. I really enjoyed seeing all the aircraft as they lined up waiting for their turns to get airborne. Great stuff!

Well done Buffy, I kept trying to watch the live stream on Friday & Saturday but never saw anything. Forgot about Sunday. Would have been fantastic to have been there live
