What a bird!

Cork - Dublin
120mph @ 5000. CHEROKEE. Default GNS. Dome light ON.
(P3D V5.1, FPS unlimited, set to 32 within nVidia).
Lush Ireland's visible even through a light mist.
Swapping fuel tanks to keep balance.
Really satisfying flying. THANK YOU SCOTT @ A2A.

(Now a pork pie 'n Irish whiskey would be nice, pref in reverse order)

and then,

over to stunning Donegal(Orbx) in N5673S, fair skies, nudging the throttle "a touch" to keep to 6000 altitude (instead of pitch handle). Sublime flying experience.

(then seafood, bread 'n butter and , you've guessed, Irish whiskey; or pref in reverse order, of course)

"Slawn-cha!"

Even though our 180 has gotten a bit "long in the tooth" as they say, for us here at A2A the old girl remains one of our crowning achievements.
I've said this many times before. When Scott sent me the images of the cockpit during the Beta process I called him back asking him seriously if he had made a mistake and sent me actual photographs of the real Cherokee's cockpit.
A magnificent job by our A2A team and will always remain for us one of our favorite aircraft.

Absolutely!!! It‘s a rather old release but it looks so great and feels just so right, I absolutely love it! I hope you guys will choose to bring it to MSFS, it woule be such a pity not to be able to fly it in the new great VFR scenery!

just landed, sweaty palms, in view of Harland and Wolff shipyard.

There was only one way to fly Donegal - Belfast City (EGAC) ...... SPITFIRE IIA , 200 mph @ 5000. Stunning; heart's still pumping!

And totally immersive Irish scenery (ORBX) with this great effect Enhanced Atmospheric (P3D v5.1, such a stable product).

Need something more substantial than a prawn sandwich; Lamb Kebab, I fancy and of course an Irish Whiskey, make it a large one, pref in reverse order!

"Slanj-a-var" Scott and Dudley!

Hi Pilots,

mission completed! BONANZA 155kts @ 6,000 over Yorkshire and misty Pennines, Lancashire and wobbly, slightly lopsided landing in totally superb Liverpool John Lennon EGGP (Orbx/Digital Design from Russia with love. Orbx Weather Theme 3).

Extremely realistic with P3D v5.1 hf1.

Constant yawing/dipping/swaying/and gusting sounds. Hold on tight, folks! Great stuff A2A!

Fly "my" planes in rotation and so haven't flown BONANZA for over a month. She's a great CHALLENGE with a wider array of controls, and so if you've not flown in the last say 10 days it's feels easy to get flustered or proverbial knickers in a twist. Out of autopilot and in transition/descent; reducing throttle early approach then she sort of dives especially if you've got yer eyes down and cross-eyed on the controls. But I've been here before and learned to quicker recognise consequences of mistake and rectify; head up and level flight before slowing.

So this "doctor" didn't get killed, this time. BUT It's no surprise to me sat parked here on survival, I've forgotten to: establish 'lean of peak' mixture % on run up before take-off; pull ON ALT-AIR with OAT < than 5deg C; equalise left 'n right fuel tanks.

Maybe the challenge wearies you, before/without you realising this is happening!

Can you tell I enjoyed this flight just a smidgen ... or three! I should fly BONANZA again within the week, with a tad more insight and see if I can improve.

Rod (EGBB; balti chicken and beer tonight ....so clear the airways and flight paths!)

and after a bit of 'Imagine', soul-searchin' and reflection at Liverpool John Lennon (EGGP), I've decided to really spoil myself.

BIGTIME, NO HALF-MEASURES! With a well-trusted, and excellent reputation, I've ordered a bespoke (from a GTX 1080 now up to a RTX 3090, and "the rest"), from a specialist in gaming Computers in Midlands (Telford, Shropshire; famous for the world's first Iron Bridge over the River Severn 1779!).

So my next question is where to next in BONANZA? (maybe Birmingham EGBB or Bristol EGGD from ORBX/PilotPlus)

I cannot be the only one with this motivation, so I'm sure you've all deserved to treat yourselves!

Rod (EGBB; dedicated to my dear cousin Andy Flowers late of Melton Mowbray, Leicestershire, victim of Covid-19. And my thoughts for Caroline, Elaine, Neil and Lucca.)
