Hi There,
I own C182 and T6.
Use FSX Delux with Acceleration. Windows 7. Only addon being used is Rex active Sky Force.
After running the core update it corrupts the aircraft models.
c182 - Pilots headset toggles between on and off. One can see it happening in the Shift+3 window how it flashes on and off
t6 - Rear of the model is gone, so one can see the rear pilot lying in the tail section
Before running the core update everything is working as it should be.

Is advanced animation active? Do you possibly use the DX10 preview?

Yes advanced animation is on and no not use the Dx10 preview.
There some be something corrupted somewhere. Uninstall and reinstall renders different outcomes with or with out core update.
Now for example I have only installed the T6 and before running the core update, the maintenance hanger will not allow the antenna to be changed. It keeps defaulting back the default option.
I have tried rebuild the fsx.cfg. Uninstalled through control panel and removed any left over A2A folders both in Documents and MS directory. Run the install again.
Running out of ideas.

Sounds like a good plan. The Acceleration disk contains the content of the FSX Service Packs, so worth letting it repair your installation.
If this doesn't work, I recommend renaming the fsx.CFG and allowing the sim to generate a fresh copy.
Thanks,
Nick

Hi Nick,
So the acceleration repair did not work. I also ran the core update. When prompted to trust the two .dll I selected yes.
So I downloaded the DrA2A tool and will send the file shortly. I am not sure what else to do. I have removed all other 3rd party addons (tackpack, GSX v2). I still have obx scenery installed. I have done so much uninstall and reinstall and clean reg, and fsx.cfg builds that I do not know what else to do.
Thank you for your help.

Okay, thanks for the update. If you still suspect another add-on has corrupted something within your installation as mentioned in your other thread, the best bet may be a completely clean reinstall of FSX itself. However, before you resort to this, one thing you could try (if you haven't already) is deleting the shader cache. To do this, simply delete the following folder:
C:\Users\[UserName]\AppData\Local\Microsoft\FSX
Thanks,
Nick

Hi Nick,
Got it sorted.
I removed a load of 3rd party addons. Basically did a clean up. Deleted the shader file as suggested, built new .cfg. Uninstalled the T6 and cleaned the reg. Then did a fresh install and core update.
Happy to report I am current flying the T6 everything is 100%.
Thank you for your help and excellent products and service.
