I am going to do the same tomorrow morning.

Going to install it on my 2 TB E drive which is completely empty. Question...does the installation of p3dv5.2 with HF1 only require clicking on the single download link and following the instructions? P3d has never been on this pc. I currently have FSX:SE on a different drive.

P3D downloads are somewhat confusing at first glance. There is the full package that has everything you need; and there are smaller downloads for if you have slow or unreliable internet / or just need to update P3D within the version series you own. Either download the full package and install from there; or download all of the smaller zips and extract to a common folder until you have everything collected in one place, and then use the installer(s).

Sorry, I'm typing from my phone because I'm not near my PC.

As of date of this post, you should download the full package which gives you v5.2.22.27615. This will include HF1. It is a 23.1 GB zip file. When extracted you run the Setup_Prepar3D.exe file. I use the Free Download Manager plugin for large downloads.

Successfully Got p3d v5.2 installed and running.

Now to remap my controls and hopefully set them up exactly as in FSX.
