Ron is at it again...

Post by ImpendingJoker »

As big a pain in the butt that I can be, I am not so small as to not acknowledge good work, and being an Army aviator(in a past life, haha), I like the older Army paints like this.

This is a repaint that Ron Attwood did for the MSFS Carenado 337. This was taken in MSFS at Vertialsim's KPCM, my RL home airport and first place I flew in a Cessna 172 back in highschool.

Very nice! About what era would this be?

This would be the early 60's.

I think Ron's era was a bit before that ;-)

 It's been some decades since anybody called me that. I might even be as old as you, Ron

Thank you, and nice repaint, Ron. The 337 is one of my favourite planes, so I'll be adding this repaint to my fleet.

Cheers,
Michael

PS. Any British registered 337's in the offing??

I haven't found any. If you know of one that looks interesting give me a shout.

Yes, they're a bit thin on the ground, aren't they. But I have found a few. Here's a link to a few.

Here's another which I suspect would also be the same paint scheme as the third picture in the above link.

Then they're this one.

Any of these interest you?

Mike

G-HIGH looks interesting but I can only find one photo. G-NYTE could be a contender. I'll ponder...

I've pondered and decided it's too much for my tired old brain to cope with another Carenado. Sorry.

No problem Ron. I believe they're "complicated" things to repaint.

Thanks for considering anyway.

Mike
