Now that I’m retired I decided to get a part time job to fill the days. I stopped at our local grocery and applied and was hired immediately.
On my first day they put me in produce restocking apples. As I was working a woman approached and asked “where is the lettuce?”
I told her we were currently out but that a truck will arrive later tonight and we will have it restocked before the store opens in the morning.
She walked away but returned a minute later asking “where is the lettuce?”
I explained again that we were currently out but that a truck will arrive later tonight and we will have it restocked before the store opens in the morning.
She walked away only to return a minute later asking “where is the lettuce?”
I said “How many A’s are in apple?
She replied one
I said right!
I then asked how many C’s are in carrot?
She replied one
I said right!
I then said how many F’s are in lettuce?
She paused and said, “There is no F in lettuce”
I said “right, that’s what I’ve been trying to tell you!
I now have to find a new place to shop.
I’m now heading to Wal-Mart to apply as a greeter. This should go great!

Re: Looking for work
Thanks Raceguy. It's Monday morning and the beginning of the work week, but at least it started with a laugh.
