Chasing the sunset:

Departed Denver (KDEN) headed west in pursuit of the sun:

Steadily climbing at 500 fpm, as the mountains seem to grow beneath us

Image

At 29,000 feet, it gets a bit frosty!

Image

As the sun outraces us, it gets a bit dark. Better pop on the panel lights.

Whoa! Too bright! Ah! Much better!

Thanks, everyone!
I enjoy flying the Fortress. She's a grand ol' gal. But I have to admit to recently cheating on her. Shhhhh! ::whispers:: And with one of her "little friends", too!

So soft and fluffy!

From up here they look quite soft and fluffy, like little balls of cotton. But that softness belies the wicked turbulence that bounced us about on the way to 29,000 feet as we traveled from Martin State Airport on the way to Raleigh/Durham.
