Hi
I cannot get my foot brakes assigned to rudder pedals to work, they have been working for years and I know how to set them up, and they work on the rest of my A2A fleet ( 9 other planes)
Also, the configurator does not work, it cannot find the tools folder, even if I point it to the correct folder it forgets it as soon as I close FSX-steam
Configurator for the 377 and T6 works fine
have just run the latest update (02_04_19.zip) downloaded from A2A support page
I should perhaps re-install the B17 but my newest exe file is from 2010 and I cannot find ia new one and download on the A2A homepage. Does anyone know if I can remove existing B17 installation, then run the old exe fil from 2010 and after that run the latest update.
I run FSX steam on w10

Re: B17 rudderbrakes & configurator problem
Hi.
Could you give more info on the following.
1/. how do you set your controllers up , is it in FSXSE or FSUIPC paid version.
2/. What controllers do you use.
3/. When you say the toe brakes dont work on the B17 , ARE the peddles moveing up/down , but NO Brakes or peddles not moving at all , reason for asking , on mine the peddles move but NO brakes TILL i have hydraulic pressure.
Dont reinstall yet , as this is the very last thing to do if all else fails , as it might be something simple you might have overlooked.
regards alan.

Hello,
as Alan says we will need some further information. For example it almost sounds like you are using the input config whilst FSX is open?
Are you running as admin (right click select run as admin)
In which way are the brakes not working?
thanks,
Lewis - A2A

Re: B17 rudderbrakes & configurator problem
Hi.
Glad to hear you are sorted.
The controls in your B17 configurator should show any controllers/axis or shortcuts you have going through it.
I have a CH yoke/rudder pedals/two quad throttles and a saitek trim wheel most go through FSUIPC but some go through the B17 control configurator as follows:-
Function / Controller / Axis ID / Invert / Preview
elevator trim / 5:Pro Flight Cessna Trim Wheel / X Axis / Ticked / 50% at zero trim
The rest show CH Pro Pedals USB / Disabled by default
Under SW`s
Function / Shortcut
Select Engine 1 / joystick:2:button:0
Select Engine 2 / joystick:2:button:2
Select Engine 3 / joystick:2:button:4
Select Engine 4 / joystick:2:button:6
Select All Engine / joystick:2:button:1
Starter Start / joystick:2:button:5
Starter Mesh / joystick:2:button:7
Primer Selector + / joystick:2:button:10
Primer Selector - / joystick:2:button:11
Magneto Inc / joystick:1:button:0
Magneto Dec / joystick:1:button:1
Fire Extinguisher Selector + / joystick:2:button:8
Fire Extinguisher Selector - / joystick:2:button:9
Hydraulic Hand Pump / joystick:3:button:5
regards alan.

Re: B17 rudderbrakes & configurator problem
Just in case another user will find this helpful. I checked the filter box for each brake pedal in FSUIPC4 and the brakes now work again. Next issue for me it to get the prop and mixture controls to work again.
RPM adjustment is not selected for the copilot... when I move the prop controls, the rpms adjust but then return to where they started.... mixtures no longer to anything sadly.
Outstanding! The answer for my issues with RPM/Mixtures was answered in another thread.

For some strange reason I always have problems setting up my mixture and prop levers separately in FSUIPC4. When I set up my throttle I set it up in the "Separate throttles per engine" page 3 in the Joystick calibration. When I try to set up my prop and mixture levers this way in page 4 and page 5 they won't move.
So what I did was set them up in page 3 "Prop, mixture and brakes", and check the box "Map to 4 Mixt" and "Map to 4 Props". With this function they still work as separate levers and not as one lever controlling all 4.
I have a home made B-17 throttle, but it should work for commercial throttles as well.
