Unable to install new B17

Post by Billn242bl »

I purchased the B17 (P3Dv5) several weeks ago and am unable to install it. I get a message "Could not access VBScript for Custom Action" and install ends.
Scripting has been enabled on my system.

It's been suggested that my Security Suite (Cloud) provided by my IP my be the issue. I was directed to Nick about obtaining an alternate installer.

Thanks.

Hello BillN242BL,

We only released the B-17 6 days ago, but I checked your previous posts and found this post from a few weeks back where you mentioned the same error message with Accu-Feel.

You didn't reply, but I take it you haven't managed to install the Accu-Feel software successfully either in that case? Have you been able to check for any script blocking functions in your security software as suggested?

Thanks,
Nick

Got a bit confused...Accu-Feel and B17, even goes back to the P40, free item, same issue. Yes, have had several individuals assist me trying to fix this issue. To the best of my knowledge, all script blocking has been disabled.

Don't know what more to do..

Thanks for your response

Okay, thanks. Could you just confirm which security software you're using? There seem to be lots of reports of this error online, and many are related to McAfee products editing the Windows registry.

Yes...My IP is Specturm TV and they provide a system call Security Suite. No other 3d party installed.

Thanks

Thanks, is it this Spectrum company?

https://www.spectrum.net/support/intern ... d-support/

The security software does seem to be provided/supported by McAfee as far as I can see.
