Hi,
Thanks for bringing back the B17! Loved it in FSX and now even more in P3D. I love to fly it in VR but I have an issue with the panels (controls, payload manager etc) in VR with P3D V5. I know how to move them around so I can work with the pretty well in VR, but they remain partially transparent (so not the whole panel and especially gauges shine though as big white cirkels). Played with the panel transparency +- nuttons, HDR bloom settings (read here on the forum that helped for another plane) and my panel transparency in the settings is set to 0, but that does not help. Is there any way I can resolve this?
Kind regards, Marcel

Re: B17 P3D V5 VR instrument panel issue
Hello Mike,
can you please post a screenshot to help me confirm what you mean. Unfortunately ive never got P3Dv5 to be stable in VR let alone a plug and play experience so its ended up being one of the sims on my system I do not consider to be VR capable. Which is a shame as v3-4 where amazing VR platforms.
How are the panels in 3D space for you?
thanks,
Lewis - A2A

Hello Lewis,
Of course. Up to now I must say I did not have any trouble using VR in V5 but I only switched recently.
And while I'm at it I also tried the Connie and noticed it has the same effect. See attached screenshots.
Thanks for looking into it!
Best, Marcel

Re: B17 P3D V5 VR instrument panel issue
Hey guys,
yes had a looksee with one of our modellers and ill get on to Lockheed about it. We had reported it way back when but it looks like its not been addressed yet regarding transparency being layered in correctly in VR.
thanks,
Lewis

Re: B17 P3D V5 VR instrument panel issue
Thanks for looking into it! Would there be a way for me to work around it until fixed by Lockheed by changing the transparency? (already tried using the available setting for it but that did not work).

Afraid the only workaround is to turn VR off whilst you manage the 2d panels.
