CARENADO F33A BEECHCRAFT BONANZA

This is the config for the FSX aircraft. The config given in the database (listed as for the V35B and F33A) is erroneous and gives extremely poor placement when used with this aircraft. This is an updated version, complete with working landing and taxi lights - taxi lights will extinguish upon gear raise, landing lights will remain on throughout.

Aircraft.cfg

Code: Select all

[lights]
//Types: 1=beacon, 2=strobe, 3=navigation, 4=cockpit, 5=landing
light.0 = 3,  -1.4, -15.4, 1.7, fx_shockwave_navred,
light.1 = 3,  -1.4,  15.4, 1.7, fx_shockwave_navgre,
light.2 = 3, -19.21,   0.0, 1.8, fx_shockwave_navwhi,
light.3 = 2,  -1.0, -15.2, 1.6, fx_shockwave_strobe,
light.4 = 2,  -1.0,  15.2, 1.6, fx_shockwave_strobe,
light.5 = 1,  -9.6,   0.4, 3.2, fx_shockwave_beacon_rotating_red,
light.6 = 10, -2.0, 0, 2.50, fx_vclightefetres
light.7 = 6, 5.0, 0.0, -1.1, fx_shockwave_landing_light_narrow_no_flare, //fx_shockwave_landing_light_narrow_no_flare
light.8 = 5, 4.7, 0.00, 0.5, fx_shockwave_landing_light_tail_old, //fx_shockwave_landing_light_tail_old
Panel.cfg

Code: Select all

gauge10=shockwave_lights!SW Lights, 1,1,1,1 //shockwave light
gauge10=shockwave_lights!SW Lights_gear, 1,1,1,1 //shockwave light

Has anybody else had trouble putting a Landing light in the Carenado 185 Tundra version? I'm not stupid, and I've done plenty of planes so I know I'm doing it right. But the landing light just doesn't show. The taxi is perfect though. Has Carenado done something different to this plane?

Thanks in advance :)

CARENADO B58 BEECHCRAFT BARON

As per my Bonanza config, taxi lights will extinguish upon gear raise, landing lights will remain on throughout. Um, to be honest, although they're a pretty good fit, my Landing Lights look just a little weird. I'm having difficulty getting satisfactory placement because of the fuzziness of the landing lights used. If anyone has any better suggestions, please update them, since I don't know when I'll be able to fit in time to redo the placement. Thanks.

Aircraft.cfg

Code: Select all

[LIGHTS]
//Types: 1=beacon, 2=strobe, 3=navigation, 4=cockpit, 5=landing
light.0 = 2,  -6.55, -18.07,  1.58, fx_strobecarb8 ,
light.1 = 2,  -6.85,  18.00,  1.58, fx_strobecarb8 ,

Not sure if anyone's done the A51 UH-1Y Venom, but here's my go (and my first) at "reduxing" the lighting ...

Code: Select all

light.0 = 3, 2.73, -3.66, 3.85, fx_shockwave_navred
light.1 = 3, 2.73, 3.63, 3.85, fx_shockwave_navgre
light.2 = 3, -27.56, 0.01, 1.13, fx_shockwave_navwhi
light.3 = 3, 6.26, -3.6, -0.51, fx_shockwave_navred
light.4 = 4, 4.50, 0, 3.18, fx_shockwave_vclight
light.5 = 4, 10.1, 1.8, 2.6, fx_shockwave_vclight
light.6 = 3, 10.1, -1.8, 2.6, fx_shockwave_vclight
light.7 = 1, -1.69, 0, 8.13, fx_shockwave_beaconh_lowl
light.8 = 1, 3.78, 0, -1.88, fx_shockwave_beaconb_lowl
light.9 = 3, 6.26, 3.61, -0.51, fx_shockwave_navgre
Oh! Has anyone figured out how to apply the redux lights to the new Virtavia Sea King?

i have a few aircaft cfg lights entrys some people might find usefull it took a good 4 hours of replacing the file names then tweeking the new landing light entry for the jetranger III so it was in the right spot

owen hewitt's bell 206B III jetranger, kiowa and tv model from hovercontrol

[LIGHTS]
//Types: 1=beacon, 2=strobe, 3=navigation, 4=cockpit
light.0 = 3, -14.44, -3.26, 1.95, Fx_shockwave_navred ,
light.1 = 3, -14.44, 3.26, 1.95, Fx_shockwave_navgre ,
light.2 = 3, -23.08, 0.00, 2.77, fx_navwhi ,
light.3 = 1, -22.47, 0.62, 6.70, Fx_shockwave_beacon ,
light.4 = 4, 2.00, 0.00, 1.50, Fx_shockwave_vclight ,
light.5 = 5, 6.51, 0.00, -2.10, fx_shockwave_landing_light_narrow_down_22 ,

bell 205 LCSD also from hovercontrol

[LIGHTS]
//Types: 1=beacon, 2=strobe, 3=navigation, 4=cockpit
light.0=3, 9.95, -3.9, 5.25, Fx_shockwave_navred ,
light.1=3, 9.95, 3.9, 5.25, Fx_shockwave_navgre ,
light.2=1, 1.38, 0.00, 7.60, Fx_shockwave_beacon_rotating_red ,
light.3=3, -18.52, 0.00, 6.37, fx_navwhi ,
light.4=3, 13.90, 3.50, 0.6, Fx_shockwave_navgre ,
light.5=3, 13.90, -3.50, 0.6, Fx_shockwave_navred ,
//light.6=4, 15.5, 0.00, 3.2, Fx_shockwave_vclight ,
light.7=4, 17.0, 1.80, 3.2, Fx_shockwave_vclight ,
light.8=4, 17.0, -1.80, 3.2, Fx_shockwave_vclight ,

the heli does not appear to have any landing lights so i didnt bother adding any to the cfg

Massimo Taccoli's canadair cl215 waterbomber/seaplane

[Lights]
//Types: 1=beacon, 2=strobe, 3=navigation, 4=cockpit, 5=landing

light.0 = 3, -0.85, -48.10, 0.15, Fx_shockwave_navred ,
light.1 = 3, -0.85, 48.10, 0.15, Fx_shockwave_navgre ,
light.2 = 3, -39.25, 0.00, -2.00, fx_navwhi ,
light.3 = 2, -1.10, -48.10, 0.15, Fx_shockwave_strobe ,
light.4 = 2, -1.10, 48.10, 0.15, Fx_shockwave_strobe_2 ,
light.5 = 1, -36.40, 0.00, 17.20, Fx_shockwave_beacon_rotating_red ,
light.6 = 4, 15.25, 2.26, -1.73, Fx_shockwave_vclight ,
light.7 = 4, 15.25, -2.26, -1.73, Fx_shockwave_vclight ,
will be edited later to add the same landing lights as the default dc-3 as its an older style radial engined plane and they look good on there

these are all fs9 aircraft

Peertje767 wrote:Hi there,

I'm using this great add on. But i found that when using the right lines in my aircraft.cfg and Panel.cfg, that the red beacon light
on top of the 747 is not on the right place. it is to much forward.

It is for the PMDG 747-400F. I tried to google and search here on the forum, but did not find anything.

Is there a way to fix this?

Thx. and keep up the great work.

Peter

i would suggest editing the first set of numbers in the line as its the position forward or reverse of the 0.00 position if its too far forward try reducing by a factor of 1.00 or more till it gets close then fine tune it by adding to the .00 with something like a .85 untill its in the right spot they are set up like this 1.00x foward or -1.00x for aft 1.00y for left -1.00 for right 1.00z for above -1.00z for below is the middle of the plane if you put something like 2.30 it will be too the left of the center -2.30 and its right and the last set of numbers is the height offset from 0.00 it takes time to correctly position the lights using this process. i always make a change save the cfg then open up fs9 to see where the light is at exactly if its still not right i change some more till it is.

Mike Mouthaan wrote:Hello everybody,

Please could anybody help me?

I had installed the 3D lights for my PMDG Boeing 737 before I rebooted my PC, after rebooting I installed again with the configuration in the file on this forum, but now, when I retracted the landing gear, the lights of the nose wheel are still burning. Could anybody help me to fix it?

My current settings in Aircraft.cfg:

Code: Select all

PMDG Boeing 737-800W
[LIGHTS]
light.0 = 2, -130.000, 0.090, 5.989, fx_strobe_pmdg, //Aft Strobe

light.5 = 2, -80.000, -55.986, 2.100, fx_strobe_pmdg, //Left Strobe
light.6 = 3, -79.000, 55.665, 2.100, fx_navgre_pmdg, //Right Nav Light green
light.7 = 2, -80.000, 56.200, 2.100, fx_strobe_pmdg, //Right Strobe
light.8 = 3, -84.800, -56.737, 1.800, fx_navwhi_pmdg, //Left Position Light
light.9 = 3, -84.800, 56.691, 1.800, fx_navwhi_pmdg, //Right Position Light
light.10 = 3,-130.000, -0.090, 5.989, fx_navwhi_pmdg, //Aft Position Light
light.11 = 5, -51.60, -6.50, -1.70, fx_shockwave_landing_light_narrow.fx // Shockwave light
light.12 = 5, -51.60, 6.50, -1.70, fx_shockwave_landing_light_narrow.fx // Shockwave light
light.13 = 6, -14.00, 0.00, -4.50, fx_Shockwave_landing_light_small.FX // Shockwave light
light.14 = 5, -52.30, -2.50, -5.30, fx_shockwave_landing_light_narrow_down // Shockwave light
light.15 = 5, -52.30, 2.50, -5.30, fx_shockwave_landing_light_narrow_down // Shockwave light
light.16 = 5, -12.80, 0.00, -7.6, fx_shockwave_landing_light_narrow // shockwave light
light.17 = 8, -51.60, -6.50, -1.70, fx_shockwave_landing_light_narrow_down.fx // Shockwave light
light.18 = 8, -51.60, 6.50, -1.70, fx_shockwave_landing_light_narrow_down.fx // Shockwave light
So, maybe could anybody also say what I have to do for the PMDG Boeing 747, with the same problem?

So, what I have to add, change or whatever...

Regards,

Mike Mouthaan
did you add the
gaugeXX=shockwave_lights!SW Lights_gear, 1,1,1,1 //shockwave light entry to the panel?

Hello everyone,

I was wondering if anyone had the settings for the lights on a Wilco/Feelthere E-Jets v.2 Embraer 175 and 195?

Thanks,

light.16 = 7, 3, -2, -2.3, fx_RCB_Cannon3,
light.17 = 7, 3, 2, -2.3, fx_RCB_Cannon3,

Take note that light.8 was added by me and ties into the taxi lights to turn on cockpit lighting since I could not get the cockpit light to work. Make sure you have the latest update for the Shockwave lights.

Also I've added light.9 which places a landing light beam from the nose gear as I could also not get the landing light to work. If you choose to keep this addition then you should also go into the Harrier's panel.cfg (after making a backup) and add the following line to end of the [Vcockpit01] section:

gauge07=shockwave_lights!SW Lights_gear , 1,1,1,1 //shockwave light

This will make the landing light automatically switch off when you raise the gear. You will need to turn it back on when the gear is lowered however.
