3D lights can we use them for airport lights?

Older FSX scenery that has airport flood lights that do not light up the ground,,,could 3d lights replace them and light up the ground or parked aircraft ?
Hey Warbirds, no I don't believe that would work at least not in a way that would be workable. 3d lights are still effects files themselves for the older FSX platform.
