3rd Party Aircraft Config Files HERE

Post by Scott - A2A »

EDIT:
3rd party aircraft database has been posted here:
http://shockwaveproductions.com/forum/v ... hp?t=10187

Let's keep all configs in that thread, so everyone can find what they need in one place.

Scott.

First, a big thanks to those who take the time to share their coordinates of these 3rd party aircraft to add Shockwave 3D Lights. We will keep this top thread organized and updated for easy searching.

Alphasim Kamov KA27 / 32

Aircraft.cfg

[lights]

light.8 = 5, 13.75, -2.30, -3.1, fx_Shockwave_landing_light // Shockwave light
light.9 = 5, 13.75, 2.30, -3.1, fx_Shockwave_landing_light // Shockwave light

Panel (careful! there's two panel folders)

[vcockpit01]

gauge41=shockwave_lights!SW Lights, 1,1,1,1 //shockwave light

Panel.s (careful! there's two panel folders)

[vcockpit01]

gauge40=shockwave_lights!SW Lights, 1,1,1,1 //shockwave light

[edit]

CAVEAT!!

The above lights coordinates are for the civilian versions. Unfortunately, the military versions have two landing lights together on the left (port) side.

Short of splitting the Kamov into two folders, I would simply do an in flight change of the aircraft config... simply remark out the last landing light entry thus:

light.8 = 5, 13.75, -2.30, -3.1, fx_Shockwave_landing_light // Shockwave light
//light.9 = 5, 13.75, 2.30, -3.1, fx_Shockwave_landing_light // Shockwave light

Note the two forward slashes before 'light.9'

Save and return to sim and then refresh aircraft (you can set a keyboard shortcut for this using the FS - options | settings | controls

Aussim Piper Warrior

[LIGHTS]

light.4 = 5, 6.37, 0.00, -1.02, fx_Shockwave_landing_light // Shockwave light

Be aware, the shockwave lights only work on ctrl L - the cockpit only has a switch for Taxi Lights. Adding the shockwave Landing lights is probably OTT, but does look pretty.

Brad Disher (Aussim) has a different methodology for his lights - you may also consider using default (i.e. shockwave) for nav and beacon too

Panel as for previous suggestions - non-retract LL

Aussim Glasair III

[lights]

light.5 = 5, 4.6, 0.9, -1.15, fx_Shockwave_landing_light // Shockwave light

As for the Warrior... Brad Disher (Aussim) has a different methodology for his lights - you may also consider using default (i.e. shockwave) for nav and beacon too

In this case, there is a "Landing light" switch instead of a Taxi Light switch

Panel as usual

Suck it and see...

Note for Shockwave (and interested parties) I personally find setting the light slightly rear of the front of the lamp gives me more pleasing results - you can see the "original" lamp still and you aren't blinded by the light cone. Just a thought.

EDIT: I've updated these as I've found a more accurate way to do them.
Basically I'm using fx_navred to work out the numbers but placing it just in front of the default light.
Also there's a few notes on the Mentor & V35B/F33A worth seeing.

The position of the landing lights doesn't match between the external model and the VC, so Ive included two sets of numbers, the first one is for the external model and the second for the VC.

Please add the following lines to the [LIGHTS] section in Aircraft.cfg file:

light.8 = 5, 36.3, 0.25, -5.2, fx_Shockwave_landing_light // Shockwave light
light.9 = 5, 36.3, -0.25, -5.2, fx_Shockwave_landing_light // Shockwave light

and the following to [Vcockpit01] section in Panel.cfg:

gauge124=shockwave_lights!SW Lights_gear, 1,1,1,1 //shockwave light

light.9 = 5, 3.40, 0.00, -0.60, fx_Shockwave_landing_light // Shockwave light

Add the above line to both the RealAir SF-260 and the RealAir SF-260 Left Seat.

panel.cfg

You only need to add this to the RealAir SF-260. The Left Seat version uses this same panel.cfg.

Excellent work grajay. I have asked shockwave why the effect does not display correctly, on the larger aircraft,but so far have had no response.

I'm not really to sure at the moment how to go about changing my Flight One aircraft to the AIA or Evolve aircraft in UTX.

Ayway,keep up the good work.

Shaun
