Problems installing.

With the Flying Tigers shark-toothed paint, the P40 is the most famous fighter of the second world war.

Problems installing.

Post by Killratio »

Ok, win 7 64 bit with FSX on a separate dedicated "D:/" in the programs x86 directory.

Whenever I try to install, I have to point it at the proper directory, which it accepts, but then when "start" is pushed on the install screen it says "no valid FSX installation found" "reinstall FSX may help"

...the hell it will!!!! :)

Lewis/Scott, anybody...any suggestions?

hello, a few first thoughts;

-Make sure you are right clicking to run as administrator
-that you have a clean SP2 install of FSX
-that all default files are in place, EULA, default learjets etc
-run the FSX registry repair tool just in case; http://www.flight1.com/view.asp?page=library

Thanks Lewis,

all done except the registry repair tool...never seen that before, or needed it.

I've run it and the install went fine...up and flying. Now I just have to stay torn away from teh Spitfire for long enough to learn how to fly the Tomohawk!

thanks mate!
