Not enough memory?

Post by andersel »

I finally found a copy of the Heavy Bombers and Jets package. When I loaded t in to FS9 it seemed to be working fine, but then I got ! messages telling me that my system did not have enough memory! Why? This has not occured to me in any other circumstance, only after loading WW II HBaJ. I do not have a 'MONSTER" computer, but it is no slouch, either. Can anybody give me a clue as to why this moght have occured?

When does this message appear? During the installation from CD? When you launch FS9? When you try to fly one of the HB&J aircraft?

You know, I'm not sure. I think the first (and only) time I saw it was just after I had closed FS9. When I was returned to the desktop the error message was waiting for me. As a knee jerk reaction, I guess, I immediately uninstalled HBaJ and seem to have eliminated the problem. I really want to fly those planes. The bombers, at least, and would like to figure out why this happened and how it can be fixed.

1:Install heavy bombers package for FS2004
2:restart coomputer
3:Load FS2004 and select free flight in WOP aircraft
4:Once loaded exit FS2004
5:see if message appeared.

At a guess this message is not connected to wop aircraft, but rather the system. Nevertheless if you repeat the steps 3 to 6 each time selecting a different aircraft then at least you will know.

thanks,

Thanks for the guidance, guys. I followed the steops as outlined and no error messages this time. I really don't know if it is becvause of what I did (or didn't do) or just a misinterpretation of my computer. But thanks all the same. Now all I have to do is learn how to fly the planes. LA

Also install the update found at the top of HBandJ forums. And there is a quick fix for the PB4Y, when switching cockpit views sometimes getting an error. Goto the panel folder/panel CFG, down to FIXED WINDOWS 30 and put //in front of gauge29. Have fun.
