When you mean "find the aircraft" what do you mean? and "ignore wings of power b-17f as the repaint" do you mean the b-17 could be appearing anywhere?

Good point Lewis.

I was assuming the stand alone B-17 package was the B-17II for FSX.

So what do you guys suggest? I've followed the steps in the readme EXACTLEY but the bomber doesnt show up in my selection screen. Just to clarify this is the Wings Of Power B-17 For Micrososft Flight Simulator 2004. Any help?

This article should see you straight; http://www.flightsim.com/main/howto/fs2 ... 2004te.htm

Just mke sure when searching for the repaint you go through the entire list looking for 'boeing' or 'flying fortresss' or 'wings of power' etc, it could be anything. Whatever the repainter decided to name it.

FAC257,

I hope by now you've resolved your repaints issue.

I just got home from my long vacation. It turns out that before I left, I installed FS9 onto my computer and I have a completely clean version. I also have the Aircraft Power Pack DVD that includes the "Heavy Bombers & Jets" package. If you'd like, we can work together step-by-step on installing the repaints you want. I can post/send screenshots, etc. Send me a PM if you'd like to reattack this with my help.

Skycat

That was TexasRaider with the repaint issues that we were trying to solve.

I think he's still having troubles but I'm stumped as to why. As long as he's not trying to install that particular repaint in the B17II, there's no reason I can think of why it shouldn't work in any pre-B-17II release of the aircraft.

Sorry about that, I should have double-checked who was the OP.
