P-47 "Anna May"

Post by jcblom »

now available on OZx, a repaint for "Anna May":
P-47D-23-RA 42-28046 #80 "Anna May" of the 66th FS/ 57th FG, as flown by Lt. Eugene D.'Bud' Kranzush from Grosseto Italy, late 1944. It was fitted with replacement tail surfaces from a French P-47 while still on Corsica. Lt. Kranzush named the aircraft after his future wife, Anna May Snyder, and he would complete 95 missions between november 1944 and may 1945, winning the DFC on 3 April 1945 for leading a succesful dive bombing mission at Bondero, Italy.
