P-47

Post by CMoore7 »

Can you guys help me with the installation of the P-47 for FSX:SE. Just bought it last night and tried to install it last night, but it's saying it can't find a valid FSX file when I deleted my FSX and reinstalled it.

Hello,

Can you please verify your steam installation?

Also did you install the steam edition at the same time you had the boxed version installed?

thanks,

I’ve had steam for awhile. And no I didn’t try to install them both at the same time. What do you mean by verify my steam?

I don’t have the box version nor do I know what that is. If you’re talking about the original FSX, no I don’t have that. I downloaded steam from the steam website. I didn’t get a box from anyone.

The installer might be looking for the default FSX location. You may have to point it to FSX in your Steam folder.

Hello,

can you give us the exact error you are receiving please.

It sounds like FSX isn't installed correctly in your system registry so the installer doesn't know where FSX is installed. In this case you will need to navigate to the FSX installation location manually to install into the FSX folder.

thanks,

Okay it’s downloaded...there’s 2 files one says WOP3 P-47.zip. Downloaded that one & the second one says WOP3P-47_accusim.zip. Downloaded this one too. What’s the difference between the 2??

The "WOP3 P-47" file is the base model. It works perfectly well on its own if you are not interested in the additional realism of Accusim.

The WOP3P-47_accusim.zip file is Part II. Install that after the base model to add additional sound effects, engine systems modeling, etc.
