Default cockpit settings

Post by jester292 »

Greetings everyone. I'm new here, but enjoying the P-40 and P-47 very much.

I'm curious to know if I can change the default cockpit settings so when I load the aircraft (P-47, but applies to P-40 as well) the magnetos are off, fuel selector is off, position lights are off, etc. I prefer a true cold and dark cockpit as I would store it in my own hangar if I were the owner. Even when I set these switches to these positions, every time I load the aircraft, the gun sight switch is on, the cowl flaps are closed, the intercooler and oil cooler are closed, the mags are on "both", and other switches are not in the position I left them. Any tips? FSX:SE. Thanks!

Hello,

you can have a play about.

So for the P-40 you can select auto cold and dark and it will load up cold and dark for you.

For the P-47 and much of your other aircraft in the sim, if you pop into your default flight using a P3D/FSX default aircraft. Turn everything off and then save it as the default flight that will be roughly the state that all flights are loaded into.

thanks,

My default aircraft is the stock Maule saved with everything switched off. FWIW.
