Request: Water spray on windscreen -Float version

Post by wothan »

Would it be possible to put some water spray on the windscreen when operating with the float version on water ?

I´m not sure how much water would be sprayed in real life, but I would expect some.

Maybe a limitation of the water effects on the windscreen.

Yes this may make sense that water would get up on that windshield when you apply power at the start of your takeoff run. We'll look into this.

I have been flying a Super Cub on floats this summer. We only got water on the windscreen and side windows when taxiing against some waves. As soon as you have power on, the prop blows it quickly underneath the fuselage. See picture from a take-off run.

Hi Alexander

I see...
I only want this effect if it´s realistic, so from Your report it should be realstic as it is now - no windshield spray.

Take a look at this video from FlightChops.

Doesn’t look like there’s any spray onto the windshield. At least not in rather smooth water.

Happy flying
