Drifting on Ground With Parking Brakes.

Post by GaryRR »

Two A2As now and both are prone to the same tendency. Both the Bonanza and Commanche drift at idle with brakes set. Power and prop at minimum and still idle. Anything I'm missing?
Also in both planes, I sometimes need to pull parking brake two or three times before it will stay in. This happens either on the panel or on my physical button assignment? Is there a correction? Thanks.

The drifting at idle is a “feature” in FSX, so nothing to do about that.
Do you use a set of rudder pedals with brakes as well?
Kind Regards
Tomas

Yes. I have CH and two brakes mapped. I remove feet totally off pedals when I set the brakes. Often I set, they pop out, I reset. Sometimes it takes 3 attempts before P brake stays set.

I was thinking that spikes from the toe brakes maybe can disengage the parking brake, do you have a registred version FSUIPC4?
Kind Regards

I have unregistered version. Maybe I could set the null zone more right on the toe brakes. I hesitate to pay register when I can get most of the fsuipc benifits as is. It like the slightest percieved motion of the aircraft's will release the Parking brakes. They aren't touchy like that in my other aircraft. Not props, turbines, or jets. Or freeware even

I changed the calibration on my toe brakes. The P-brakes on my A2A fleet no longer pop easily. The drift is still there. I now move the aircraft to an open spot where I can't drift into a hanger or another plane or anything to do my post start actions.
