Flight Aware

Post by GaryRR »

Has anyone ever used Flight Aware either in sim or RW? I use it a lot. A simple google of K*** whatever airport Approaches gives a Flight Aware option and all the procedures are there. You can even download the bundle in PDF which any phone or Tab can store and display with Adobe App. And for free. I have a lot of my frequent visit airport plates in my phone.

Flightaware is a very useful tool for collecting procedures and getting ideas for potential flight plans. Its on my ipad and used quite a lot to identify traffic flying overhead. It gets more difficult when you want to fly published approaches in Asia or Europe...you need to look a little harder for current info, or go all in and get a sub to NavDataPro or Navigraph.
