LouP wrote: 16 Mar 2020, 17:51 Are you using VR? I had this issue if I started the sim before switching back to my speakers after started WMR and before starting P3D. I now start up WMR, switch over to my speakers, then start up p3D. Don't have the Accusim sound problem since following that procedure.

LouP
Nope, no VR. Makes me wonder if some kind of software I have is causing the problem though.

BUT why do ALL the other Accusim products work fine?

What's different about the way the Cub is coded? Therein lies the answer, I believe....

Hey again Lewis. As I said earlier in this thread, I have a USB headset but I have tried checking to see if the audio is coming out of it, which it isn't, my speakers are the primary audio device and I also have tried disabling all audio devices other than the speakers, and none of that fixed the problem.

My mind is so boggled.

Hello,

is your receiver for the USB headset plugged in?

If so please remove them from the system and restart the computer.

Nick - A2A wrote: 01 Mar 2020, 12:54 Okay, thanks - that all looks fine.

Please could you try reinstalling OpenAL using the standalone Windows installer available here: https://www.openal.org/downloads/.

It's possible the issue in your system is related to OpenAL not being able to work correctly for some reason. Please right click the oalinst.exe file and select "run as administrator"

Also, when you installed the Cub, do you recall if the included DirectX installer run successfully?

Nick
Reinstalled OpenAL as instructed (I always run as administrator, learned that years ago lol)

DirectX installer had finished successfully when I installed the aircraft. Just to be sure, reran the DirectX installer.

No changes, the problem is still there :?
Not sure if you solved this issue yet but I had the same issue with no sounds in all A2A aircraft cockpits not long ago. It happened out of the blue. Finally I reran the last Accu-Sim update and all was back to normal. Still don't know why it did this.

FYI. Id like to raport this too.

I noticed the same issue with sound of Cub in P3Dv4.5. Sometimes I have internal sound sometimes not. Sound of engine is always so with this sound no problem.

I have Accu Feel also, but AF works well (with other aircrafts), the Cub only has this strange missing sounds (50/50).

Maybe the reason is here: https://www.avsim.com/forums/topic/5494 ... atc-sound/ (sound devices).

No need to open the new one. I think most of this sound issues are not Cub problem but drivers/sound source. I agree only that Cub use two kind sound - inside P3D and outside.
I did bigger investigation and I notice for example this:

- on speakers - no any sound issue,
- on my wireless headphone no any issue (USB transmission),
- on the second my headphone (with mini jack) no any issue,
- I noticed issue only on my third headphone on USB connection by cable (looks like driver problem, which does not cover several sound sources at the same time).

So simply I dont use for Cub this the last my headphone. Solved  .

Accu-sim generation in the Cub uses the default windows sound device. Make sure that's set before the sim loads and you should be fine. Like many games/sims it is not changeable whilst sim is loaded so a sim restart will be required if you use windows sound settings to change playback devices etc.
