Thanks Lewis!

That's Stapleford, EGSG on the north east corner of London. I'm thinking it's time to go do a tour in v5.1 of all the grass airfields I can find in True Earth Great Britain

Nice paint, Jeansy. Coincidentally, I'm making a start on a 1/32 scale model of an RAAF MkVIII.

Cheers,
Mike

Captain Ron Attwood kindly paid me a visit this morning in Western Canada and we went on a Spitfire tour of Southern Alberta from High River to Claresholm to Vulcan, Alberta (apparently famous the world over for it's statue of the Starship Enterprise... :| ), which was a BCATP training base from 1939 to 1945 and active as an RCAF station into the 60s. The plan was initially to land at the base, but a scenery glitch had all the tarmac areas in significant trenches, so we headed for the town strip.

Anyway, I told you all that to tell you this...when de-briefing after landing, we realized after a while that we were both standing outside looking at the beauty of the two parked Spitfires

Here's my favorite shot...
