We decided to do a P-40 flight this week.
I learned that the Turkish Air Force flew them in WW2, when adjoining nations Greece and Bulgaria were under Axis occupation. For this trip we take off from the Murted military base outside Ankara and fly westward to Istanbul and the Bosphorus, curve north around the Sea of Marmara, close to the Greek and Bulgarian borders, and then head south down the coast to our destination, Gaziemir Air Base, LTBK.
It's 420 miles at relatively low level, so plan your fuel accordingly.

Looking forward to this one.
Daylight saving in the UK ends at 0200 on Sunday 23rd October therefore I propose that as usual we change our flight time to 1900z for the winter period.
