Ho Ho Ho! Looks like our next flight is scheduled to take place on Christmas. You know the story. We're not supposed to go anywhere for Christmas. So call the kids and wish them a Merry Christmas. Then, fire up your P-51 and fly away with the Misfits on LWD05. Let me know if this will work, or if we should postpone. I want to fly the mission, as I've got nothing else going on, even on Christmas.
We'll be flying a mostly direct route south, from Weed Airport (O47) in Northern California, down the Sierra Nevada Range, over Edwards AFB, ending our flight at Brown Municipal (KSDM), which is about 1.5 mile north of the US/Mexico border. The flight will be 628 nm, which will take about 2 hr 13 min in our trusty P-51 Mustangs.
Meet: 1845z or earlier to check out your airplane, warm it up, etc.
Take Off: 1900z
Sim time for take off: 1100 local
Weather: Real, Historical for the time and date of our flight, or custom if bad.
Network: JoinFS
Server: Digital Themepark
Comms: A2A Discord.
I plan to run full wing tanks and about 40 gallons in the fuselage tank.

As this is on a day that my job doesn't interfere with flying...I hate when that happens btw ...I'm thinking it will work for me. Let me know if, due to lack of participation or whatever, if you do NOT plan to do it on Christmas day please
Cheers,
Rob

Sadly, we're having a tiny brunch-type thing here Christmas morning so I won't be flying. I adore my wife, but her scheduling sometimes leaves something to be desired.

I will be flying assuming that I remember to do a 'quick change' once I finish the 91st Bomb Group daily flight at around 1800 UTC.
I've got the flight plan in Plan-G format are replaced all the Lat/Lon way point designations with something more intelligible, such as WP1, Yosemite, Kaiser Peak, etc.

Thanks for the tour Paughco et al!!!
I had an awesome time and got a couple of decent screenshots...
I'd put Paughco into my other RAAF livery, KH723 by Jan Kees Blom, which was my go-to airplane until Bladerunner900 painted Cottonmouth for me...I spent a LOT of time staring at it yesterday
Cheers,
Rob
