Sunday 14th feb icelandic coastal trip

Post by Tobus75 »

Next sunday we visit the northern coast of iceland.
See routing below. Take any GA from the A2A stable.
Some full stops and/or t&g's are in. All waypoints are either visual or NDB, so dare yourself to let go of the magenta goddess of lines  .

We will take off from BIAR and end our trip at BIIS, taking the legendary 07 close approach.

Route:

Real time: sunday 14feb 1930z take off
Sim time: same date, 1300z. I reckon about 1h40 flighttime for Comanche/Bonanza/182, +20 for Cherokee/172. Unless we do landings and wait for eachother of course.
Weather: real if possible, fair otherwise
Aircraft: any A2A GA.

While I was still using P3D v4, I had moved all my scenery from P3D into a separate ORBX library, per ORBX recommendation. After transitioning to P3D v5, I was bummed by the missing scenery elements that I used to have in v4, which were no longer available in v5. Going on the Misfit Squadron motto ("What's the worst than can happen?") I simply copied the "missing" scenery elements from the Orbx Library\P3D v4 folder into the Orbx Library\P3D v5 folder. All my old v4 airports now work in v5! Here's a screenshot I just took of our departure point in Iceland. I'm in my Bonanza in P3D v5:
