Post by ianfisher 101 »

So this week we continue with the Third leg of our tour following the original 1883 route of the Orient Express. We start in the Hungarian capitol Budapest before continuing East, crossing into Romania at Curtici. From there we continue to Simeria before turning South through the Defileul Jiului National Park then onto Caracel before arriving at Bucuresti and the end of leg Three. It's 440nm and 2hrs 36mins. Bonanza or Comanche.

A 1600 local takeoff will put you at the destination in total darkness. You might want to move the takeoff time to 1400 or 1430 at the latest.

Hi Gypsy. Thanks for your concern but I designed this for a dusk landing. Sunset at LRPO is 1909 so we should be down half an hour before that. It will be low light but not completely dark as in the pic below. This was taken at 1840 local time. You are of course entirly at liberty to fly at what ever time you like but the official flight will start as published at 1600 local.

There seems to be a big discrepancy between FSX and P3DV5 when it comes to daylight.

When I flew this yesterday with a T.O. time of 1615 by 1745 it was dusk. At that point I reset my local time back 1 hour and when I landed I was completely in the dark. The only things visible were the runway and taxi way lights.
