Friday, February 25 - The Sahel: Africa, West to East - Final Leg
The sixth and final leg of our trans-Africa trek brings us to the other side of the continent at Port Sudan on the Red Sea.
From Khartoum we fly first to New Halfa, a community constructed to house the Nubians displaced from Wadi Halfa by the construction of the Aswan High Dam in 1964. The next waypoint is Kassala, and there we turn northward to Tokar on the Baraka River delta, then follow the coastline to our destination.
This one is only 475 miles, so bring anything you like.
