Can someone explain why the gunsight is offset to the right?

I believe it was because of the carb air intake on top of the cowl but I'm open to correction!

The main gunsight is the reflector gunsight, which is activated by the rotary switch on the left side switch panel. The offset gunsight is for backup, I believe. Check page 22 of the P-40 manual.

Yup, the old iron sights is kinda the backup should the 'modern' centred recticle sight fail etc.

Flying VR, the iron sights aren't as offset as they seem in flatscreen mode.

I had a lot of freetime at this weekend and also had an idea to make the reticle more realistic, or basically I was trying to.
More orange recolorization was added and some glowing, still not a perfect one, and made it just for fun.
