Thanks for the P-40, A2A. I nearly fell off my chair when I found I didn't have to pay. Amazing. Thanks again!
Am learning about the bird and followed some very good YouTube videos.
But, I cannot master the operation of the flaps. At present the flaps are down. When I operate the lever to retract, the lever just springs forwards.
I cannot hold the joystick hydraulic switch whilst operating the flaps lever, but I have primed the pressure using the stick on the right.
I've tried mapping the flaps to a key stroke with FSUIPC (I use this for all my inputs) - no good. I tried mapping to an axis - again no good.
I used the P-40 input configurator too but again, no joy.
Running the engine with generator on and full battery makes no difference. I reckon the flaps are purely mechanical anyway.
All of which makes me think I've missed something in the cockpit. But what?
I'd grateful for advice.

Re: Flaps operation
Hey there JohnHubb. I know what you mean as I had the same problem. If you load the plane and then use shift 3 it will open a window where you can turn on the auto hydr. pump which will fix the problem of pushing the button on the stick to run the pump. I know that it is cheating but it does work.
Hope this helps you out.

Ah! Thanks!
It is cheating but I don't mind cheating for now. When I'm half capable I'll find some way of mapping a key press to work that pump.
Great stuff, Tug! Thanks again.
