Paintkit and new Skinpack HERE

Post by Scott - A2A »

For those who wish to paint their own aircraft, here is our WoP3 P-51 Paintkit:

Also, this is for everyone. Here is a skin pack from Martin Catney (ICDP) for our P-51 Mustang. Keep in mind, these are based on other Mustang variants, but this was done simply out of Martin's passion to paint aircraft:

Here are two of the planes included in the pack:

And our very own Moonbeam McSwine as it was, owned and operated today by Vlado Lenoch:

I already have a repaint request. :lol:

See the colorized image below in signature. I also have some copies of B/W photos circa 1953 for tail numbers, stencil details, etc.

I had expected Moonbeam McSwine and Glamorous Gal to be part of the release.

I'd really like it if you could release the UK paint job from the first picture.

Is it possible to find out which cockpit variant Moonbeam McSwine will have?

Well if you are talking about the used texture set than you can easily change it to what you like best.
You just have to change/add one line in the texture.cfg of the livery.

If you just want the WW2 style cockpit then you will use this:

[fltsim]

fallback.1=..\texture
fallback.2=..\..\..\..\Scenery\Global\texture
fallback.3=..\..\..\..\Texture

If you want the vietnam style cockpit then you would use this:

[fltsim]

fallback.1=..\texture_PW
fallback.2=..\texture
fallback.3=..\..\..\..\Scenery\Global\texture
fallback.4=..\..\..\..\Texture

I will be making a "Precious Metal" livery in memory of Gerald Beck. I know it wasn't a "D" but...

This thing is phenomenal. Just did a multiplayer flight with a friend in a P-47 and it was great! :mrgreen:

I'm really hoping to see a Glamorous Gal soon, she's always been one of my favorites! I wonder if the highly polished aluminum finish will be possible with this model?

I'm guessing there will be a Double Trouble Two done soon, that's a popular P-51!

Unfortunately the Moonbeam McSwine was a dash 10 variant, earlier than ours.
