How fast were your downloads for the first 24 hour period?

How fast were your downloads for the first 24 hour period?

Post by Scott - A2A »

We bought shiny new servers a month ago, and from what I could see, they didn't even flinch during the first big wave of orders. Can you guys share some of the speeds you were getting while downloading? How did they compare to other services you have used?

Thanks,
Scott.

600 kb/s at the start, 3.5 or so mb/s down near the end. Having said that, it's not close to my full download speed (100mbps fibreglass).
So no connection issues from the Netherlands :)

I didn't see the KB/s speed, but it took about 11 minutes to download both, simultaneously.

If I remember right, speeds for the P51 where about 600-700 area.
Total time for both was about 6min.
The core update was much slower, took over 10min to download this.

I don't know how fast, but I'm in the middle of nowhere in France (OK, a few km's from the official middle of nowhere), but my download went really fast, just a few minutes. Longer than installing anyway..

I think was downloading within the first 30 mins once the P-51 was posted for release, didn't see the DL speed but it was quite fast. Much faster than the P-40 download which I got during one of the initial waves of it's release.

My P-51, and Accu-Sim download were completed in a matter of minutes. Maybe 5, give or take. :)

We just upgraded our service and hardware recently, and the P-51 file took me just over a minute, and the Accusim file took just a few seconds... Between your new servers and our new setup here that was the fastest large file download I've ever had.

Anyone in the NYC area should check out Optimum Online Boost Plus... it is incredibly fast.

It all started on Digital Theme Park teamspeak server with Zoolander coming in and saying "It's out!"

Those two words prompted everyone in the channel to pull out their wallets simultaneously.

I live in the middle of nowhere northern Alberta and we pegged out at 700 kb/sec, which is about as high as I've ever seen anything.
