Re: Finished Paints
Here is my favroite one so far. Gunfighter! I know there are Gunfighter repaints done already, but those are all WWII era, dirty Gunfighter. This is the Gunfighter that I know, N5428V that is operated by the Commemorative Air Force and based in Council Bluffs, IA. It tours along with B-29 Superfortress FIFI giving rides on the Air Power History tour and also does airshow exhibition flying. Live on avsim - https://library.avsim.net/download.php?DLID=218067

Jesus, iflyc77,
I just purchased the P-51Civ this months and more or less stumbled over your liveries
Great job and thank you for sharing your artwork ...
I had so much fun cruising over Gulf of Neaple, Sicily, Calabria and Crete with your paintings ...
My Top ones are currently Trusty Rusty and the Bald Eagle ...
Thankies

Nicely done. I agree with you about clean, present day warbirds like you see at airshows all over the place.iflyc77 wrote: ↑01 Jun 2020, 14:33 Here is my favroite one so far. Gunfighter! Re: Finished Paints
Hello, this is my first entrance in the forum : here are a few screenshots of a new repaint for the A2A North American P-51D Mustang that I made to fly over Tanzania, Kenya and around
(modification from the P-51D CIV 'Miss Velma W by Tom Weiss' ). I am new in repaint work so it is not perfect. I made it using FSRepaint v2.25 and Gimp, it is an imaginary skin, taking pictures from old stamps and photos
the file name is "A2A_P-51D_Civilian_repaint_5Y-ASH_Kenya", upload recently on avsim library : https://library.avsim.net/sendfile.php? ... LID=218609
Some other views are available on Orbx forum (see Jean Marc posts)

Re: Finished Paints
And a second imaginary repaint still to fly in Africa (great with Orbx Open LC Africa) over Malawi - made from the repaint USAAF Old Crow Early W by Tom Weiss
uploaded on avsim : filename "A2A_WoP3_P-51D-Civ_repaint_7Q-BTY_Malawi" : I will put the link when the process will be end (it should be available tomorrow...)

Re: Finished Paints
After seeing that a couple of my favorite paint schemes have never made it to the A2A Mustang, I decided to jump in and try my hand at them....
First one is "Sizzlin' Liz" (painted in the colors of Maj. Gerald E. Montgomery's P-51 while flying with the 4th FG, and currently flown by Dave Marco of Jacksonville, FL)...
And the second is "Vergeltunswaffe," as owned and flown by Hess Bomberger during the 1980's-90s, and painted similar to the P-51 he himself flew during WWII (with the most obvious difference being that his wartime Mustang was named "Carolyn's Vergeltungswaffe).
Both can be found on Avsim
Sizzlin Liz: https://library.avsim.net/download.php?DLID=218843
Vergeltunswaffe: https://library.avsim.net/download.php?DLID=218845
Hope you like them...
