As you mightve seen in another topic but i see we are missing out on Marinell & Janie for the WOP3 Mustang Haha. Can this be done? I seriously hope so, then my warbird collection will be complete! Lewis Approves this! haha

Re: Requested Paints
Sweet, very nice! The only thing I notice, is the canopy and windshield frame should be aluminum, not painted black. Still she's beautiful!!!bladerunner900 wrote:Steady on old boy, don't get to exited. Here's what it looks like now.

Re: Requested Paints
Well... I'm going to have a go at doing marinell. It should be straight forward, but I'm already having problems with the UV mapping around the nose distorting the chequers. It's something I've come up against before while doing some on a T6 Harvard. Once I've cracked that, the rest should be easier by comparison, but it's going to take me some time. So if one of our veteran P-51 painters finishes it before me that would be great.
Regardless, I'm still going to keep at it as I could do with the practice, on this aircraft. Meanwhile, here's a VERY early draught of my progress.
Cheers.

Re: Requested Paints
Hi all,
Would any body be interested in doing 'Miss Velma' from The Fighter Collection at all?
There is a paint of her, but it doesn't have invasion stripes etc. as she is now?
Thanks in advance!

Re: Requested Paints
I know exactly what you mean Lewis and I can tell you now, it gets better.
Meanwhile, I think I've cracked the chequer/nose problem. It doesn't look to bad now. That UV mapping layer was a big help. Pass on my thanks to Martin for me.
Here's a download link.

Updated link to 888-8 textures. I have not shared these before because I don't know what impact the large file size will have on less "robust" systems.
