Diffused edges with Adobe Illustrator

Post by Mariner »

Hi everyone!

I need some help from experts:
This is my second repaint for A2A C-182. The friendly EC-JSF (Josefa is its coloquial name for all of users of this aircraft). I would like to fix the difused edges when I´ve zoomed the image.

I´m working with DXTBmp and Adobe Illustrator.

I would be grateful for any tip.

Okay, I see you use P3D so..

If you save with mipmaps make sure Texture Resolution is set to 4096 (Ultra) in Display options.

Apart from that I don't know as I use Photoshop.

Steve.

or better, save without mipmaps
FS painter. You'll find most of my FS9/FSX/P3D paints here.

Yes. In the bad old days FSX would re-set this to 1024 on a regular basis. Saving without mipmaps was almost essential. I believe it improved later in the Steam version. I don't think this was a problem in P3D, although, I never had v1 but started with v2.
