Great, that sounds wonderful. It'll be worth the wait, so I'm not worriedScott - A2A wrote:We are working now to get the Cub into beta. When it goes beta, I will let you know.
Like all Wings of POWER planes (and the 377), the Cub is a pure in-house project, so it is difficult to predict a release date. Once in beta for a week, it should be more clear.
Regarding the Phantom, we should have some progress updates in a few weeks. We certainly hope to have the Phantom out this year, but again, until the product is in beta, it's tough to know for sure.

Re: A2A Simulations Update 02/03/09 - Stangs and Cubs
Rob and I have had a full push with the Cub all week. I am happy to say we have managed to get in all the features we set out to do, so we're all quite pumped atm. However, like the P47, there is a series of first time FSX features which by the very nature of making something for the first time, it just takes a lot of testing. The hardest stuff is behind us so we are putting all the pieces together and forming the beta.
BTW, Rob is doing his magic again - this aircraft feels like home, just as the 377 and P47 did. I look forward to many here experiencing this - I just said to Mitchell today (who has crafted a beautiful manual) that after starting and stopping this engine all day today, I feel as if there is a real engine stuck in my monitor.

No, the Mustang is very much front burner for us. We just completed a flight with cameras for Accu-Sim research (much like the B17), and have another flight planned after the Cub is released.
As with every Accu-Sim release, there are new features added. The Cub is going to be good to the Mustang.

Cool.
Very glad to hear that, Scott.
i'm counting the days untill that P-51, which I heard will have early models too ....
Also, how hard is it for you guys to include a varient without a gunsight and a modern radio in place?
Cos' that would make flying feel more real and would suit FSX's modern day feel.

You guys know that a lot of Mustang pilots first trained in the Cub, right? So releasing the Cub first will get us cadets some training time before graduating to the big guns!

Just out of curiosity, is there any news on that delectable Phantom you're working on?
