Ian P's Paint Thread (Because he's lost the plot...)

Post by Ian P »

Apparently I have no idea what paints I have and haven't done any more... At least one I thought was mine wasn't and one I thought wasn't actually was, so as threatened a while ago, I'm putting them all in one place. Sorry about this, if you're not interested.

D-ENCA: The default N7274H with a German registration requested here on the forums.

G-BFMX: A Reims F172N based at Halfpenny Green, Staffordshire, UK.

Image

Download: http://www.ianpsdarkcorner.co.uk/repain ... G-BFMX.zip

G-BHAD: Ex of Shropshire Aero Club, this A152 Aerobat had canvas harnesses and no home comforts, the last time I flew it!

Image

Download: http://www.ianpsdarkcorner.co.uk/repain ... G-BHAD.zip

G-BMJB: The first aircraft I ever flew was a 1980 C152II with this registration and a similar scheme - I had to tweak it to make it fit the C172R airframe.

Image

Download: http://www.ianpsdarkcorner.co.uk/repain ... G-BMJB.zip

G-CISR: A fictional paint, based loosely on a locally based C152, in green

Image

Download: http://www.ianpsdarkcorner.co.uk/repain ... G-CISR.zip

G-DPSF: A fictional paint, based on N21627, in blue and yellow

Image

Download: http://www.ianpsdarkcorner.co.uk/repain ... G-DPSF.zip

G-JIMH: Based on The Flying School's F152 based at Halfpenny Green, Staffordshire, UK

Image

Download: http://www.ianpsdarkcorner.co.uk/repain ... MH_1-1.zip

G-PINK: It's pink. It's based on G-JIMH's ribbons. Apparently people like it, because it keeps getting downloaded!

Image

Download: http://www.ianpsdarkcorner.co.uk/repain ... G-PINK.zip

G-PMUX: A fictional paint, based on N21627, in red.

Image

Download: http://www.ianpsdarkcorner.co.uk/repain ... G-PMUX.zip

G-REME: The Corps of Royal Electrical & Mechanical Engineers, whose cap badge I wore briefly in the early 90s and who have probably, by now, forgotten I ever existed (if they have any sense...)

Image

Download: http://www.ianpsdarkcorner.co.uk/repain ... G-REME.zip

G-RENM: A fictional paint, based loosely on a locally based C152, in blue.

Image

Download: http://www.ianpsdarkcorner.co.uk/repain ... G-RENM.zip

G-SHSP: A real world C172SP owned by Shropshire Aero Club, Sleap Airfield, Shropshire, UK.

Image

Download: http://www.ianpsdarkcorner.co.uk/repain ... G-SHSP.zip

G-SRIS: A fictional paint, based loosely on a locally based C152, in red.

Image

Download: http://www.ianpsdarkcorner.co.uk/repain ... G-SRIS.zip

G-STIZ: A fictional paint, based on a real world C180 floatplane. Guess who requested it!

Image

Download: http://www.ianpsdarkcorner.co.uk/repain ... G-STIZ.zip

G-UFCB: A C172SP operated by Cambridge Aero Club in the UK.

Image

Download link: http://www.ianpsdarkcorner.co.uk/repain ... G-UFCB.zip

G-UFCE/G-UFCG: C172SPs of Ulster Flying Club, Ards Airport, County Down, Northern Ireland. Bundled together as they are the same scheme.

Image

Image

Download: http://www.ianpsdarkcorner.co.uk/repain ... G-UFCG.zip

G-UFCI: A C172SP of Ulster Flying Club, Ards Airport, County Down, Northern Ireland. Actually G1000 equipped in the real world.

Image

Download: http://www.ianpsdarkcorner.co.uk/repain ... G-UFCI.zip

I-BEAR: An Italian registered version of the default N7274H, requested here on the forums.

Image

Download: http://www.ianpsdarkcorner.co.uk/repain ... I-BEAR.zip

LB514: Lewis complained that one of my early paints wasn't a Lancaster Bomber. "A2" was the code of 514 Squadron, RAF, who flew Lancaster bombers. It seemed kind of fitting.

Image

Download: http://www.ianpsdarkcorner.co.uk/repain ... _LB514.zip

N14NS: A fictional paint, created while I was learning how to do curves.

Image

Download: Currently broken. I'll try and fix it.

N21627: A C172SP based at Boire Field, New Hampshire

Image

Download: http://www.ianpsdarkcorner.co.uk/repain ... N21627.zip

N546MC: A US-based C172SP requested here on the forums

Image

Download link: http://www.ianpsdarkcorner.co.uk/repain ... N546MC.zip

N571Z: A fictional paint, based on a real world C180 floatplane. Guess who requested it!

Image

Download: http://www.ianpsdarkcorner.co.uk/repain ... _N571Z.zip

N652SP: I could have sworn this one has been done for FS before, but apparently not for this model, so... Version 1.1 corrects the paint colours.

Image

Download link: http://www.ianpsdarkcorner.co.uk/repain ... P_v1-1.zip

N7390L: G-BHAD's "delivery" registration before transfer to the UK list.

Image

Download link: http://www.ianpsdarkcorner.co.uk/repain ... N7390L.zip

N757VD: This was the registration that G-BMJB wore before export to the UK. No idea what the paint was, so I turned my paint of her brown... How 1970s can you get?

Image

Download: http://www.ianpsdarkcorner.co.uk/repain ... N757VD.zip

N757VE: If Juliet Bravo looks OK in brown, how about yellow and black? US reg again.

Image

Download: http://www.ianpsdarkcorner.co.uk/repain ... N757VE.zip

N758VD: Juliet Bravo's livery in red and gold with a US reg.

Image

Download: http://www.ianpsdarkcorner.co.uk/repain ... N758VD.zip

N758VE: Juliet Bravo's livery with a US reg again. These colours might look familiar...

Image

Download: http://www.ianpsdarkcorner.co.uk/repain ... N758VE.zip

N869BC: I think someone around here requested this... The font is wrong, but hopefully it'll be of some use.

Thanks Lewis.

Added G-UFCE/G-UFCG, packaged together because they're the same scheme.

Cheers,

Replying to yourself... Bad netiquette.

As it is, I've added N652SP and N869BC to the list. Now I just need to work out what has happened to the zip for N14NS and everything worth making available is available if anyone wants them.

Cheers,

Ian P.

Awesome! The more N registrations, the better (for me, at least 8) )

Thank you for that. It's great to finally have an A2A Lancaster. And with much better visibility out the front than those from other developers :p

Thanks Ian. Your repaints are great.
My favourite of all the repaints available so far for the C172 is G-SRIS, which I am using on my RTW tour!

Thanks guys.

Phil: If you want it to sneak into a paintshop and gain a ZS- registration at some point, just let me know which airport you'll be at and any preferred registration code. I'll have the decals ready when you land, so they can be changed while you get some rest. ;)

Greetings from the USA! Nice work! I've probably downloaded half your stuff so far. I especially like G-SHSP since it's the same scheme as the C172SP I soloed, passed my checkride in and still fly today! I was wondering if there's any chance you could change the registration to N546MC with black letters?

Here you go...

And while I was at it, I found a photo of G-UFCB, which actually isn't an Ulster Flying Club aircraft, it's a Cambridge Aero Club one... It did, however, have a much better lit side, so I've got better colours on N652SP as well.

Wow! Thanks! Sorry I didn't see it sooner, for some reason I didn't get an email when you replied. I posted a repaint request on several other topics but with no luck. Thanks again!

I've done this one, but not zipped it up yet because I don't know whether anyone would want it.

My very short, very inglorious and slightly ignominious time in the military was spent with the Corps of Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers - the people who fix stuff for the British Army. While they've almost certainly forgotten that I ever existed, I still feel a degree of affiliation to them, so when I discovered that G-REME was available as a registration during a search for something completely different, I hatched a less than cunning plan. This is the result.

Image

I kinda like it, although it's a bit colourful for my usual tastes (and I never had a colourful cap badge... Mine were always plain silver). Anyone else vaguely interested enough for me to warrant zipping it up and uploading it?

Being ex service, yep, I would download it if it was available publicly. A very nice looking aircraft, and I do a lot of VFR in the UK. I normally collect VH, Australia, and G paints.

Hi Ian,
Thanks for all your brilliant repaints of the c172 , I was amazed how many there were and especially pleased to see G-UFCB as it contains my initials. Have I made an error in the install as the aircraft id inside the cockpit says G-UFCI and the radio call sign is India. Still a good looking girl though.
Cheers Colin.
