N46677 Lives Again

Post by mtbparker »

This goes straight to my fondest childhood memories. My dad owned N46677 when my brother and I were just little kids. Every Saturday, we were up at the airfield. I'm the little tike there in the blue shirt.

This repaint is fictional. The real N46677 is a C172K model. But who cares. LOL! :D

All credit goes to a great friend of mine who took the time to repaint this for me.

SLICK! Nice recreation. I like those old school patterns. They just seem to flow better for this plane. Keep up the good work! 8)

Love the two little kids in the back. I can see the family flying along and the dad turns around and says "OK YOU 2, STOP FIGHTING or I'LL TURN THIS PLANE AROUND!!!! :P

Oh! You can bet that we got yelled at back there. :D

I can also tell you that I learned the lesson, at a very young age, about going to the bathroom before you take off. That was probably the longest 1/2 hour of my life while dad diverted to some airport along the way.

Sadly, it was sold long ago. The national databases have it somewhere out in Michigan. But I can't confirm.

For the paint, I'll have to check. It's not mine to give away.

Beautiful paint mate! Looking forward to mixing this scheme with Urs' beautiful brown interior WIP.

Cheers

Last night, he put the finishing touches on it -- the small things like the cowl handles, etc. It really looks nice.
