(Released) Yellabird N23383

Post by taildraggin68 »

Ok, Yellabird will fly again :D Nothing like the colors yellow and black to properly represent a bush plane.....will be very worn, inside and out, and guaranteed to be as ugly as the third branch on the ugly tree........

For your viewing pleasures, I present N23383 "Yellabird"

I was thinking of a surplus turned bush plane route with faded military markings.

I was thinking about that too. But have no idea to do that. Will need to experiment with that.

Try putting your markings in subdued colors on the spec layer...and very faint on the t layer :D

I am still contemplating which markings to use. I had some faint Luftwaffe markings on the fuselage.

It looks brilliant. I admire your tenacity and eye for detail. I still got a lot to learn.

Thanks ebo, you're painting is top notch, don't sell yourself short. My painting evolves around the experimentation...the artist has always been there, but only on a classic hand drawn basis. The digital platform is new for me, so it's a constant learning experiment to put what I visualize into digital media.

Now to finalize this interior and put together something for the outside...

Any ideas.... 8)

Thanks Scott for your kind words.

That interior looks spot on. Love the torn carpet. Your side panels also look great, which showed what was missing on my interior. The side panels are still too clean!

How did you kill the shine on the seats and side panels? Mine still look very like plastic and not canvas.

Appreciate your help on this one.

ebo did a little spec experimentation, and was kind enough to divulge, so I took his figures and took another look at mine....still kept some reflection, but a much more flat coloring to the material on the seat and side panels.....here is what I came up with.....
