Uhu cockpit canopy reflection / glow

Post by Paul K »

Hello, fine A2A types. :)

This topic came up over on the CBFS forum, where one user is experiencing problems with the canopy glass on the Aircraft Factory P-51H. Now, I don't have that aircraft, but he reports the same problem with the AF Uhu, which I do have. So, I had a look and sure enough, I have the same glitch. He is using FSX, while I am using P3Dv2.5 - I know P3D isn't supported, but the problem exists equally in both simulators, it seems.

Here are three screenshots, using the customize weather controls to alter visibility distances:

Any possibility of it being investigated ? :)

Just as an addition to the above, on the top of the fuselage there is what appears to be a fan, or supercharger intake maybe ? Not sure, but it certainly isn't plexiglass. However, it too displays the same issue:

Hey Paul,

unfortunately this is just a limitation of the engine, for the realistic canopy look in good and out of cloud weather you get this when viewing in external in the cloud layer. We think its a fair price to pay for the default style almost invisible at some angles canopy glass in good weather conditions.

thanks,
Lewis

Okay mate, well I see the same issue with the civilian Mustang and Spitfire, as shown below:

But...BUT...BUT

The P47 has no such problem, and the canopy glass looks just as good IMO. These pictures are taken with the same vizibility settings as the three Uhu pictures in the opening post. No glow at all. :)

Yes the canopy glass had a change through the Accu-sim life.
