My 1st repaint
Tail number N857KM is currently unregistered with the FAA (I checked), so I used it for this fictional repaint.
I wanted a luxury look even though it might be impractical in the real world.
You can download it here:

The hardest part: getting the rear window panel evenly color-matched with the fuselage.
Got the idea for a wood panel from a repaint by trucker17, but went for a lighter wood..... I like the way it looks at sunset.

Re: Finished Paints and Paintkit
Thanks for the encouragement. Was not sure if I would continue after the Photoshop trial ran out. Looking through the repaints threads are so awesome, I may just have to ante up so I can try some of their techniques.

Nice looking paint indeed!
Before the end of the trial ends your painting career I can recommend Photoshop CS2 to you. It's freely available at adobe.com and still does most of the job.

Different colors and registrations available on request.
Available on request.
If you're still taking requests on this, and if possible, can I please have this scheme in blue (replacing copper tone), red (replacing orange tone) on white, registration N324JK? If it's easier, I'm also happy with the same color/scheme you used for N60587, just with the personalized registration.
If not, completely understand, just thought I'd ask. Overall, great work on the paints!
Thanks!

HUGE thanks to Al for doing this custom paint scheme! Now I just have to save my pennies so I can have a real-world example to match.Al FR-153 wrote:PM sent to Jon

My second project now in progress:
This will be a tribute to two of "Da Bears" greatest; the late Walter (Sweetness) Payton (#34) and Gayle (The Kansas Comet) Sayers (#40). I still have a lot of decisions to make and work to do.
For example:
Suggestions welcome.

For example:
- A 2 tone blue cloth interior
Different Bear sweatshirts for all passengers (1 down, 3 to go)
Images of Payton and Sayers on the right panel (or one on each door?)
Find the right spot for a quote by Walter
Embossed logo on headrests
Blue & orange V-speed tick marks
Suggestions welcome.

I think orange antennae would make the most sense. I like that you've got the GSH on the wing stripes - wouldn't be a true Bears uniform without them!km2727 wrote:My second project now in progress:

Just promise you won't give the engine the "Cutler Overhaul" (works only half the time, and never when you really need it). otherwise, looks great!

This one was done specifically for Jon, but since it has been posted, I don't think he would mind sharing.Jachin wrote:N324JK Looks awesome! My favorite paint by far for the 182. Is there a download link?

wow that was fast! Thanks!
Re: Finished Paints and Paintkit
Nope, don't mind sharing at all! Truth be told, I should've suggested that Al make it publicly available in the first place - it's a great paint, and I'd hate all the effort to be spent so only one person (me) could use it.Al FR-153 wrote:This one was done specifically for Jon, but since it has been posted, I don't think he would mind sharing.Jachin wrote:N324JK Looks awesome!
