p3dv5+ Lockheed Model 049 Constellation

Post by dustoff1 »

After installation my computer screen is black with engines running and program frozen. I have deleted and reinstalled with still the same problem.
Help and or advise would be much appreciated. In the mean time I can still fly ths "beauty" with my FSX.

Can you go to your P3D settings and check you are not running with certain reflections etc turned off that would affect how things are displayed.

thanks,

Before I checked reflections etc the program worked fine, then tonight it froze again. I deleted p3d and A2A, reinstalled both products, still frozen as before. also when things worked the beacon was a large square flashing object.

Thanks
John

Hello,

when you updated P3D did you do a full clean reinstall or use the P3D updater system by installing just a new client installer etc?

We have found this can result in issues with the way the sim works and would recommend a full clean reinstall of P3D including deleting any residual files left over after uninstall + system restart.

thanks,
Lewis

Hi Lewis,

I have just reinstalled the Connie, during installation there was an upgrade, now the aircraft works fine except the beacon which is still a flashing square? Overall I am very happy.

Cheers

John

Hello,

the square is normally due to a texture missing hence my question regarding the updating process of P3D itself. It could potentially be a driver issue I guess too with the GPU, so worth making sure you are all updated there.

Also of course if you have any third party programs that deal with lights that could be the culprit.

thanks
