Trim Handle Stuck in msfs2024

My version of Comanche 250 for MSFS 2024 is streamed. Can not rotate the trim handle found on the ceiling. It travels left to a point and then back to the right to a point and stops. I will not make a complete loop therefore the elevator does not respond. Is there an unlock proceedure that I am unaware of or is this a 2024 bug?

There are no issues with pitch trim specific to MSFS 2024 that we're aware of. However, we don't currently have access to the streamed Marketplace version for testing. To start with, please can you let us know if you checked the airframe condition using the tablet?

If you have, and there are no mechanical issues reported with the trim, please can you let us know what device you're using to control pitch trim in the sim. For example, is it an axis or buttons?

I hate to say it, but it works OK for me. I use a trim wheel and it does what it says on the tin.

Thanks for the response but still no luck. I am using the TurtleBeach Throttle Quadrant trim wheel. I believe its considered an axis. I have also tried using the mouse scroll wheel with no luck.
I ran MSFS 2020 and the mouse scroll wheel turns the trim handle completely around as it should. Can not get this behavior in MSFS 2024 at this point. Maybe I am missing something in the setup.
I do not remember assigning anything to get the trim to work in MSFS2020.

Oh by the way....I performed a complete overhaul of the airframe via the tablet.

The question is does the plane react to your trim wheel input? Because it may mean an animation issue rather than a non functionary issue.

The plane does not react to my trim wheel input in 2024. It does in 2020.

Thanks for the info. Looks like the trim wheel on the Turtle Beach VelocityOne is an rotary encoder rather than an axis (i.e. a potentiometer or Hall effect sensor) This means it probably sends a sequence of button presses when turned, so might need setting up a little differently in the sim. Does it work okay in default aircraft in MSFS 2024? If so, would you be able to share a screenshot of the controls setting page in FS 2024 showing which command(s) it's assigned to? To do this, you can select it on the controls page, and use the search term "elevator trim" to show the available commands.

Elevator Axis seems to work now although the animation handle on the ceiling does not function properly as it did in MSFS2020.
Elevator Axis is indeed the large trim wheel on TurtleBeach Velocity One throttle quadrant.
Its not a particular issue with me, however you may want to look into the animation issue somtime.

Thanks for the picture, this seems to show what the problem is: in your profile you have "elevator axis" assigned to the trim wheel on your quadrant, when it should be assigned to "elevator trim". I'm not sure if this is an issue with a predefined profile for your hardware that was already present in the sim, but if so, you should be able to change it.

Hmm, this is tricky one to troubleshoot Mark given that MSFS 2024 itself has lots of bugs and that I don't have access to the hardware you're using. What exactly happens with the trim crank in the plane if you assign the sim's "ELEVATOR TRIM AXIS (-100 to 100%)" action to your "JOYSTICK SLIDER X" input?

Actually I have not had the trim handle to rotate 360 deg no matter what binding I've tried in MSFS2024. Works perfect in 2020 using the elevator trim axis.

That fixed it. Elevator is working correctly as well as the handle on the roof of the cockpit. Wow..Finally
