C152

Post by Kilstorm »

As much fun as Im having in MSFS2024 doing slow and low true VFR hops (no GPS, only Navaids, Pilotage and dead reckoning) in the default C152, I'd love to have an A2A C152. With MSFS2024, we finally have a world worth looking at and exploring down low and the C152 has been my go to plane of choice. Once Air Manager and TDS is in MSFS2024, I'll be exploring in that. However, for now, I'm just thinking that my PA24 N508NP is in annual and the outfit thats doing my annual is renting me a C152 to get around.

When I first tried out 2020, the 152 was my go to. Brought back a heap of memories.

I too would love to see an Accusimmed A2A version of the C152. I've always thought the C172 was a little "racy" and the C152 was more my style. If I were able to buy one in RL, it'd be a C152 (though I think I'd prefer a Tiger Moth!!).

If you haven't tried the free JP Logistics/WB Sim C152 mod, definitely give that a go. It quickly became my primary aircraft in MSFS 2020, and I even started my Neofly 4 career with it. I actually had to force myself to move up to other aircraft that I had paid for and were sitting unused in my library--including the A2A Comanche and the WB Sim C172 realism mod.

You have to go to the developer's Discord channel, https://discord.com/channels/7804551158 ... 3222907042 (WBSim/JPLogistics 152) to download the mod. It is compatible with the PMS50 GTN and I believe it is also still compatible with the TDS GTNxi; check each developer's page for the panel bezel adapters. It also allows a visible copilot, including the free Got Friends pets avatars.

And the latest news from the developer dated December 1, 2024: "@everyone There IS an update coming soon, that will also provide 2024 compatibility, along with a few minor other things. AP is being updated, knob interactions...minor things."

I've used both those mods a lot in 2020. Great to hear they're being updated for 2024. WTF is it with this Discord obsession?? Each time I follow a link, "I find myself in a strange place". I'm logged in, so why doesn't it give me the option to register with that server?

UPDATE: Managed to find a Google link with a current invite ... got there in the end ... grrr!

I agree. I recall that I created my Discord account only to get this mod.

If you can't get to the official download for the WBSim/JPL C152, PM me.

Looks like a great option. Looking forward to the 24 version.
