Electrical voltage issue

Post by jcallum »

The Comanche was working for me fine and then all of a sudden I am getting an electrical issue where the voltage is flashing red on the middle gauge and when I flip a switch like the landing lights, the avionics reset and restart. I have tried maintenance and have tried different liveries/airframesbutthe issue remains. Any idea what might be going on?

Have you checked the generator circuit breaker? That would be the third one from the left, under pilot's side of the panel.

Hi, indeed the generator fuse would be the first to check.
Additionally if you want to check with another livery you would need to have "persistence per livery" turned on on the tablet.
Otherwise all liveries will have the same state engine and airframe wise.

Update: Looks like I have an issue with my Spad.next profile. It works okay when Spad is not active.

Update:
The problem was a setting in Spad.next where I was turning on the instrument/nav lights. The command set the LVAR to 75% which it didn't seem to like. When I removed this command everything worked as normal. I am wondering if something happened to this variable in the latest version because I think that the command worked in the previous version.

I just got 2024 a few days ago and this control is one that has been flaky. However, does seems to work configured as follows

Switch 6 shifted toggles Nav Lights on and off. It seems to turn the knob to 12 to do so using command;
SIMCONNECT:TOGGLE_NAV_LIGHTS with a static value of (1) when button is held.

Now that the navigation lights are on I can increase and decrease instrument lights. I do this on another toggle switch shifted either up or down using this; (an image is probably easiest). This is to increase instrument lights.

I'm not sure why going directly to 75 would cause an issue though.

Cheers

You are using a different variable than I am. I am using the LVAR "(L:NavInstrLightSwitchPct)". I will try using the variable you are using.

Perhaps I am using an old and outdated variables list?
