Are these known 2024 issues?

Post by Kilstorm »

I have the 1.1 patch. I have three issues that I havent come across in the forums to see if there is a work around.

Alpha Yoke. I have two of the buttons assigned via the input configurator with one for Alt hold and the other AP disconnect. Neither of them work. Meaning, by pushing the button on the Alpha yoke, nothing happens. I have it set up the same way in 2020 and it works correctly.

On the Bravo Throttle Quad I have the Heading button on the Bravo set to change the different AP modes. ST, HD, LO, HI...that button works but every time I push the button it skips one mode like I was holding down too long on the button no matter how softly or quickly I try to press the button. So I press one and it skips past ST and goes to HD. Push it again and it goes to HI. If I manually use the mouse in the VC to say press and set it on ST, then the next press on the Bravo button will have it skip HD and go to LO.

Hi Kilstorm,

Not known issues, though I'm currently unable to try and reproduce as I'm away from home and my MSFS 2020 PC. However, I wonder if it's an Alpha/Bravo 'thing'. Are you able to test one of these functions with a button on a different hardware device or even a keyboard input?

Oh, and just to double check, did you install the updated input configurator from here as well as the 1.1 hotfix itself?

Thanks,
Nick

Nick,

I did some investigating and it seems like the Bravo auto pilot features are working in 2024 where they werent in 2020 as I remembered. So there was a conflict in assignments I guess. I got it all sorted out and was able to assign the ap disconnect and the alt hold using native MS assignments and not needing the input config. Once again, thanks for chiming in to at least let me know to look local on this.
